There are days when life feels light, social, and relatively easy to navigate.
And then there are days when something deeper seems to be stirring.
Monday, September 14, 2026, has that deeper quality.
The Moon moves into Scorpio today, joining Venus in Scorpio and bringing our emotional attention toward things we may normally keep beneath the surface. The Moon also squares Pluto, while Venus approaches a powerful square with Pluto that becomes exact tomorrow. At the same time, the Sun in Virgo forms a supportive sextile with Mars in Cancer, giving us an opportunity to do something constructive with everything we’re feeling.
In other words, today’s astrology isn’t necessarily asking us to run away from uncomfortable feelings.
It may be asking us to look at them.
The Moon in Scorpio: Going Beneath the Surface
Scorpio isn’t particularly interested in small talk.
When the Moon moves through Scorpio, astrology traditionally associates the period with emotional depth, intuition, privacy, transformation, and a desire to discover what’s really going on underneath appearances.
You may notice yourself thinking more deeply about a relationship.
Something someone said may suddenly carry more meaning.
An old feeling may return.
Or you might simply have that unmistakable sense that something isn’t quite right—even though you can’t explain why.
That last one is particularly interesting to me as a psychic medium.
We often receive information intuitively before our conscious mind has figured out what it’s seeing.
You may not be able to identify every tiny expression, change in someone’s voice, shift in behavior, energetic feeling, or seemingly unrelated piece of information you’ve picked up. Yet something inside you puts those pieces together.
You simply know.
The challenge is learning when to listen.
Moon Square Pluto: Emotional Pressure Can Reveal Something
Today’s Moon-Pluto square adds intensity to that Scorpio energy. Astrological calendars place the aspect today alongside the Moon’s conjunction with Venus.
Pluto is traditionally associated in astrology with transformation, power, buried material, control, endings, regeneration, and the things we would sometimes rather avoid.
A square creates tension.
That doesn’t automatically mean something bad is going to happen.
Sometimes tension simply makes something impossible to ignore.
Think about the areas of your life where you’ve been saying:
“It’s fine.”
Is it?
Perhaps you’ve been unhappy with something at work but haven’t wanted to acknowledge it.
Maybe a relationship has changed and you’ve been hoping it would somehow return to what it once was.
Perhaps you’ve been thinking about making a major change but fear keeps talking you out of it.
Or maybe something from your past continues to influence decisions you’re making today.
Scorpio and Pluto aren’t particularly interested in pretending.
Their symbolism asks:
What’s really going on here?
Venus Square Pluto: Relationships and Values Come Into Focus
This theme becomes even stronger because Venus in Scorpio is approaching a square with Pluto in Aquarius, exact on September 15.
Venus isn’t only about romance.
Astrologically, Venus relates to relationships, attraction, pleasure, values, self-worth, and often money.
Pluto intensifies whatever it touches.
Put those together in a challenging aspect and we may find ourselves looking more closely at attachment, control, jealousy, desire, money, boundaries, or the balance of power within relationships.
Again, I don’t believe that means everyone should expect a relationship crisis tomorrow.
Astrology is much more useful when we treat it as an opportunity for awareness rather than a prediction of disaster.
Instead, ask yourself:
What am I holding onto because I genuinely love it—and what am I holding onto because I’m afraid to let it go?
That’s a very different question.
Your Intuition May Already Know
One of the most common things I encounter in psychic readings is someone asking about a situation they already have a feeling about.
They may ask:
Is this relationship right for me?
Should I make this career change?
Why do I feel like something is changing?
Am I moving in the right direction?
And very often, somewhere underneath the uncertainty, they’ve already begun sensing the answer.
The reading isn’t necessarily introducing an idea they’ve never considered.
Sometimes it’s helping them hear what their own intuition has been trying to tell them.
That’s why periods of reflection can be valuable.
When we’re constantly distracted by phones, work, television, social media, responsibilities, and everyone else’s opinions, our intuitive voice can become difficult to distinguish from all the noise.
Scorpio energy invites us inward.
And sometimes that’s exactly where the answer is waiting.
But Don’t Confuse Intuition With Fear
There’s an important distinction here.
Not every uncomfortable feeling is psychic information.
Sometimes fear is simply fear.
Anxiety can create stories. Past experiences can make us expect the same thing to happen again. A painful relationship can make us suspicious in a perfectly healthy one.
That’s why discernment is such an important part of developing intuition.
Intuition often arrives quietly and simply.
Something feels right.
Something feels wrong.
Call this person.
Wait.
Go.
Fear tends to keep arguing its case.
Learning the difference takes practice.
Today’s heavier emotional atmosphere can actually provide a useful opportunity to observe that distinction rather than automatically reacting to every feeling that appears.
Sun Sextile Mars Gives Us Somewhere to Put the Energy
Thankfully, today’s astrology isn’t all introspection.
The Sun in Virgo forms an exact sextile with Mars in Cancer, an aspect associated by astrologers with productive action, initiative, and the ability to put effort behind something that matters.
I particularly like this combination.
Virgo asks:
What can I actually do about this?
Cancer asks:
What matters enough to protect?
Scorpio asks:
What’s really true?
Put those together and today doesn’t have to be about sitting around analyzing every emotion.
Once you’ve identified what needs your attention, take a step.
Have the conversation.
Set the boundary.
Make the appointment.
Apply for the job.
Clean out the room.
Write down the plan.
Stop chasing something that clearly isn’t working.
Or finally begin something you’ve been thinking about for months.
Insight becomes much more powerful when we do something with it.
Ask Yourself These Questions Today
Take a few quiet minutes and ask yourself:
What have I been avoiding because I don’t want to know the answer?
Where am I feeling resistance in my life right now?
Is there something I’ve intuitively known but haven’t wanted to acknowledge?
Am I holding onto something from love—or from fear?
What would change if I trusted myself a little more?
And perhaps most importantly:
What is one practical thing I can do about it today?
Don’t force an answer.
Sometimes the first thing that comes into your awareness is enough.
Astrology Doesn’t Take Away Your Free Will
I always think this is worth remembering whenever we talk about astrology.
A planetary aspect doesn’t control you.
Venus square Pluto doesn’t mean your relationship is doomed. The Moon in Scorpio doesn’t mean you’re required to spend the day uncovering dark secrets. And Sun sextile Mars doesn’t guarantee you’ll suddenly become extraordinarily productive.
Astrology can be viewed more like a weather report for the energy surrounding us.
Knowing it’s raining doesn’t determine where you’re going.
It simply tells you that bringing an umbrella might be useful.
You still decide where you’re going.
Sometimes Clarity Begins With Looking Deeper
Today’s astrology has an interesting combination of emotional depth and practical momentum.
The Moon in Scorpio says:
Look deeper.
Pluto says:
Don’t be afraid of what you find.
Venus asks:
What truly matters to you?
And the Sun-Mars connection says:
Now do something with what you’ve learned.
If you’ve been standing at a crossroads, questioning a relationship, considering a change, or simply feeling that something in your life is shifting, this may be a good time to become quiet enough to hear yourself.
Your intuition may have been speaking all along.
Sometimes we just need help separating its voice from everything else.
Looking for Clarity?
A psychic reading can offer another perspective when you’re navigating relationships, career decisions, life changes, or questions about what’s ahead.
And if your questions involve someone you love who has passed, an evidential mediumship reading can provide an opportunity for connection, validation, and messages from Spirit.
